This means you have to measure the distance from the position of your router to the farthest reach of your home and make sure you buy a device that is able to transmit this distance. You also need to take into account how many walls that might block the path of your router to the desired location in your home.
2. Use a WiFi Range Extender
Using WiFi Extender may be the lowest cost and the most common solution used by most people in an effort to increase their home wifi. The extension of this range or booster functions only by taking the existing wifi signal and transmitting it with greater strength. You can then connect one of the original or new wifi networks made by the extender. Or, if the booster is configured properly, your wireless device will automatically use any of the strongest signals, assuming they have the same network name (SSID).

All you need to do is connect your additional router to one of the Ethernet ports and ensure that the original router is connected to the port for a particular room.
If you don’t have the luxury of the house that has been collected in this way, you can use a powerline kit to achieve the same results. This kit contains two adapters plugged into your standard electricity socket. The first is plugged around your original router and then connected to one of the LAN ports on the router using an Ethernet cable. The second is plugged into the room where you find your second wifi router. Then connect to the second router through Ethernet in the same way as if you have an Ethernet socket on the wall.
When connecting your new router to the Ethernet wall socket or powerline adapter, you can connect either using a LAN or Port Wan. If you are connected to the LAN port, you only expand the original network and you have to make sure the IP gateway address of the second router is in the same range used by the first router, and DHCP is deactivated. If you connect to Port Wan, you effectively create a second subnetwork in your home and you must make sure the IP gateway address is not in the range used by the first router, and DHCP is activated.
Whether you are connected to LAN or WAN port, you also have to configure your additional WiFi network name, along with its safety settings. This must be a different name from those used by the original router. You can also choose to disable the transmission of wifi from the original router so you have a wifi network in your home.
4. Use a Mesh Router
A Mesh Router is used with what is known as satellites to create networks in your home that can be accessed from several points. The satellite captures the router signal and turns it on again and you can install as many satellites as you need in various locations in your home. The technology used produces a much better solution than using a direct extender range but is significantly more expensive.
